Investigation and analysis of fast reading skill as a stage of reading skill in Farsi and the necessity of teaching it to primary teachers

Abstract

One of the central topics in the Persian lesson of the elementary school is teaching students reading skills. Reading skill plays a significant role in learning and academic progress and academic and personal development of students. Speed reading skill as an advanced and very effective level of reading skill plays a significant role in getting meaning from the text and understanding the material and is considered as an advanced level of reading skill. This research aims to investigate the relationship between speed reading and teaching reading skills in the Persian language teaching course for elementary students. In order to achieve this goal, educational resources and texts, handwritten documents, articles and researches conducted in this direction have been examined and researched in the form of meta-analysis. The findings of the research show that speed reading as a level of teaching reading skills has a serious dependence and connection with Persian language teaching, especially in the second period of elementary school, and it should be considered as part of the teaching work of teachers. In the final part of the article, challenges and obstacles and existing realities and suggestions that are effective in not achieving this goal have been discussed and examined.
