Inspecting Reading and Writing Disorders of Junior High School Students in Persian Literature Lessons with a Professional Development Approach

Abstract

Learning disorders refer to problems that affect the learning and understanding of information process and include a significant percentage of students from elementary to high school. Reading and writing disorders, which are generally known as learning disorders, can have a great impact on the education and daily life of individuals. The method of this research is descriptive/field type. The statistical population is junior high school students in Margoon, Iran. This research has been selected through cluster sampling from 19 schools, 120 people. The data collection tool is the cognitive processing questionnaire and the development of a short form of the depression, anxiety and stress questionnaire and the assessment of students' academic progress by measuring their average through the last two years. SPSS software was used to analyze the research findings. The findings showed that the mean and total standard error of each dimension of information processing in reading disorder of first-year secondary school students in Persian literature courses in Margoon range from 25.75 to 25.98. There is a significant difference between various dimensions of the cognitive processing scale in junior high school students with reading disorder in Persian literature courses in Margoon. The mean and total standard error of each dimension of information processing in writing disorder of the students in Persian literature courses in range from 24.80 to 38.92. There is a significant difference between different dimensions of the cognitive processing scale in junior high school students with writing disorder in Persian literature courses in Margoon. The results showed that the average of the variables such as anxiety, depression and stress for female students is 1.22, 1.08 and 1.18, respectively and for male students is 1.16, 1.14 and 1.17, respectively
