Analysis of the novel of the Younes’s romantic in the Belly of the Fish, written by "Jamshid Khanian" based on P4C criteria

Abstract

Background and Objectives: The Philosophy for Children and Adolescents (P4C) program is a relatively new approach in the education system that emphasizes teaching thinking skills. Matthew Lipman, the founder of P4C, considers philosophical stories to be the main tool for teaching thinking skills.Jamshid Khanian is a prominent children's and adolescent storyteller whose works are worthy of recognition in various ways. In this essay, "Younes's Romance in the Fish's Belly," is analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method based on components of P4C and in three main parts (literary, worldview,. Findings: The best philosophical feature of this novel is in its literary dimension, which is reflected in storytelling techniques such as characterizations appropriate to the target age groups and language suitable for teenagers; psychological reflections and attention to spiritual needs of the audience are of relative quality; ontological concepts are less common compared to literary and psychological signs.Conclusion: This novel has the necessary characteristics for use in philosophy classes and philosophy-based exploration circles. Khanyan's distance from the origin and habitat of the p4c, and the creation of this novel with motives beyond its plot in such circles, which, with its pathological role, can lead the novelists to create stories with richer philosophical elements.
