Abstract

Vasif Bakhtari is one of the contemporary Persian poets in the geography of Dari literature in Afghanistan. The present study, with a descriptive-analytical approach, examines Vasif's intellectual and artistic development in two periods of time. In the first period, with the focus on the individual and personal "I", he also tends towards politics and partisanship. Romances, dirges and Poetic reflect his personal and social experiences, and the categories of suffering and aggression have cast a shadow on his intellectual space. The attention to literary devices and the use of ancient words, the invention of words and phonology in the poems of this period is remarkable. His individual "I" changes to a social and human "I" in the second period. In this period, Wasef analyzes human and social issues with a sociological and symbolic approach. In the literary realm, the use of myth, symbol, paradox, simile and metaphor increases, and in the linguistic realm, attention to new poetic forms, the diversity of sentence structure, archaism and the invention of words increases.
