Information and communication technology (ICT) encompasses all advanced technologies for communicating and transferring data in computer-based communication systems, especially computer software and hardware. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of modern educational technologies on the academic achievement of students in Farsi course in Minoodasht. Participants of this research were 40 Fars languagei teachers and male and female students of junior high school in Minoodasht in the academic year of 2015-2016 which were tested by purposive sampling. Research tool for gathering data was a researcher-made questionnaire designed for teachers and students with different numbers of items. The questionnaires had a meaningful content validity and Cronbach's alpha coefficient showed a desirable reliability of the questionnaires. The results indicated that modern educational technologies has significant effect on academic achievement, improving retention-learning process, enhancing students' self-esteem in the lesson, increasing the participation of students in learning-retention process of Farsi course of students, and its effect is more than average.
